On Tuesday 02/16/2010, the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office received the report of the theft of a 1994 Toyota 4 x 4 Pickup Black in color and a 20' car hauler trailer about 6 1/2 ft wide, all metal, Black in color. The truck had factory aluminum wheels and a chrome diamond plate toolbox on it. The theft occurred in the Bunkom Hill Community from a shop next to a residence on County Road 3301, the truck was in need of some mechanical repairs.
The report stated that the truck/trailer was taken between 6pm on the previous day and the morning hours of the 16th. Investigators following up numerous leads have determined that the truck was actually taken around 8pm on the 15th, taken to a remote area, left there for a short period of time and apparently the suspects returned and hooked back to the trailer. Investigators are working on a number of leads at this time. Investigators believe that this theft is possibly related to some other thefts in this area.
